Branch Temples of Institutions were first established by Brother R. German-Bey, G.G. of Maryland. After his death,
Brother R. Love-El, G.S. and Moderator of the Moorish Science Temple of America Inc. felt the need to continue
this divine ministry and adhere to the true doctrine of Islamism as brought by Prophet Noble Drew Ali with the
format set up by Brother R. German-Bey. Branch Temples flourished beyond measure under the administration of
Brother R. Love-El. Warrant of Authorities was issued to each set up. The book Branch Temple Information by
Brother R. Love-El was published. Brother W. Parker-Bey, a valiant soldier and beloved brother, became G.G. of
Branch Temples in Institutions until his retirement as Emeritus.

With New administration in its transition, major changes had to be made. Brother C. Warner-Bey was appointed
Minister of Branch Temples. Warrant of Authorities became an issue. Branch Temples of institutions and
subordinate temples were of the same documentation. The Board of Directors of the Moorish Science Temple of
America voted to discontinue the issuing of warrant of authorities to institutions but only to subordinate temples.
Institutions/Correctional facilities are not identified as Branch Temples of a subordinate temple, but as a whole
distinct part (separate entity) of the Moorish Science Temple of America Inc. The prophet said we are to appoint
and consecrate missionaries and so the name Institutional Missionaries of the Moorish Science Temple of America
Inc. was established by Brother C. Warner-Bey, Minister of Institutional Missionaries. With widespread growth of
the religion of Islamism in institutions, we have gained knowledge and wisdom in our commitment to the divine
movement in extending the learning and the truth of the Great Prophet of Ali in America for the uplifting of fallen
humanity. Changes have been implanted to keep abreast with all laws and guidelines of administration for we must
at all times adhere to the divine principles of love, truth, peace, freedom and justice. See book Institutional
